Artist, Lezleigh Flower, has been making art her whole life. When she was young she had a passion for colour, especially in flowers. She would often exchange ‘portraits’ of her mother’s church friends for flower seeds and sweets. Tafara is originally from Zimbabwe. He uses his background in graphic design to create beautifully striking and well proportioned township paintings using recycled materials. His work has been exhibited in Switzerland and has been very well received by tourists to South Africa. He can also make wildlife art on request. Check his work out!

Sydeny came to Cape Town from Zimbabwe around 2002 to escape the poverty and lack of employment in Zimbabwe. He is a great craftsman and can create almost anything with wire and beads. He’s a very proactive and compassionate person, reaching out to abused women and children by teaching them crafts as a means to try and help sustain themselves. Lawson is a gentle but extremely focused artist from Zimbabwe. His dream to be a professional artist started at a very young age and has only strengthened with time. He has an amazing artistic ability, is a complete perfectionist and can create almost any work of art on any material he is given. Peter decided to come to South Africa in the hope of creating a better life for himself. He has learnt many different skills including nursing, teaching and marketing and started creating township art from recycled materials as a means to make a living and getting by in South Africa.
